Bin2Print received Honorable Mention!

It was a great honour for me to see Bin2Print receive the 1st Honorable Mention in the DI 2020 Design and Innovation competition in May 2020!
The initial start-up idea was developed during the 2018 summer school of EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology and was based on encouraging schools in the Mediterranean region to recycle and reuse their plastic waste through 3D printing and digital fabrication. After two years of research and endless discussions(!) with teacher and researcher Lora Myserli we have decided to test the idea in Greece and we will attempt to bring it to implementation within 2021. Additional credits go to my summer school teammates and amazing ladies Giulia Viero, Gehad El-Abnoudy and Megan Kuster who I am excited to see excelling in their fields of expertise now.

Infrastructural Ecologies

Our project ‘Infrastructural Ecologies’, presented under invitation and supervised by Taneha Bacchin, Hamed Khosravi and Filippo la Fleur was among the winning projects of the International Design Competition ‘Marghera City of Making’ organized by Maria Chiara Tosi (IUAV) for the Venice Pavilion at the 16th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia 2018.  The envisioned material ecology and the infrastructural space/ logic of pollution remediation, production and logistics is being now discussed by the City of Venice for its implications.
